Supported Employment
Description:
The Supported Employment Program is designed to help individuals with disabilities obtain and maintain competitive employment within the community. This is accomplished through the provision of job development, job placement, job coaching and follow-along services.
Entry criteria:
To be eligible for Supported Employment Services, an individual must meet the following criteria:
- 18 years of age or older.
- Resident of Pinellas, Pasco, Hillsborough or Manatee County.
- Meet criteria for "priority client" as defined by Chapter 65E-15, Florida Administrative Code, on active status.
- Have a serious emotional disturbance as indicated by a defined mental disorder diagnosable under DSM IV.
Referral process:
All referrals must be made through the local offices of the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation.
Hours of Operation: Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM. Services are provided to consumers according to the their work schedule.
