  • One in four adults - approximately 57.7 million Americans - experience a mental health disorder in a given year.  One in 17 lives with a serious mental illness such as schizophrenia, major depression or bipolar disorder and about one in ten children live with a serious mental or emotional disorder.***

  • An estimated 5.2 million adults have co-occurring mental health and addiction disorders.  Of adults suing homeless services, 31 percent reported having a combination of these conditions.***

  • Fewer than one-third of adults and one-half of children with a diagnosable mental disorder receive mental health services in a given year.***

Boley Centers’ Speaker’s Bureau is comprised of family members, Board Members, staff and consumers.  The goal of the bureau is simple - to educate and create greater awareness about what mental illness really is and what Boley Centers does to help meet the needs of those affected.
