Summary Description:
The Greeter/Material Handler at our Your Neighborhood Store - Thrift Store is responsible for donor and customer service, store security, maintaining interior and exterior cleanliness, greeting donors and unloading donations from vehicles.
In addition, the greeter is responsible for breaking down and pre-sorting donated merchandise by category into material handling equipment, moving equipment full of pre-sorted merchandise to work stations for processing, and assisting team members and customers with the movement and loading of heavy merchandise.
Required Education & Experience:
A High School Diploma or GED is required with less than two years of related experience. With two or more years of related experience, education requirement may be waived.
Minimum of one year of experience in a customer service and/or material handling environment and knowledge of retailing, merchandising and retail store operations.
Must be willing and able to work evenings and weekends and transfer to other stores or departments as needed, work at other stores and/or donation centers as needed and work overtime.
